South Wilts Archery Club, based in
Salisbury, can now proudly boast four champions after a long day’s shooting
at the Dorset and Wilts Archery Association’s Indoor County Championships,
held at the Five Rivers Leisure Centre on the 28th February 2010!
Thomas Askew-Miller managed to retain his place as the number one U18 Junior
Boy Compound archer, whilst Dylan Bartlett was awarded his title for the
Under 14 Compound category. Other successes included Under 14 Junior Girl
Catherine Labdon winning her Barebow category with a new county record,
Samantha Moss winning her Ladies Barebow category and Adrian Bartlett
gaining a bronze medal in the Senior Gents Compound category.
Well done also to Alan Biles, Owen
Blackmore, David Cornelius-Reid, Peter Durtnall and Jo Sullivan who all took
part and represented South Wilts! A big thank you to the work party for
setting up and taking down the targets and those involved in donating prizes
and collecting money for the raffle.

If you are interested in taking part
in Target Competitions you will need to be a member of
GNAS - for
club members under 18 this is free! Please speak to either Ian
Askew-Miller (SWAC Target Officer) or Peter Durtnall (SWAC Target Tournament
Organiser) for more advice.
