South Wilts Archery Club – Beginners Courses Update
South Wilts Archery Club has now concluded all Beginners’ Courses for 2026.
We are not accepting further enquiries or bookings for 2026 training.
2027 Beginners’ Courses
Planning is underway for our Spring and Summer 2027 Beginners’ Courses.
Full details will be published on our website from February 2027.
- Location: Trafalgar School, Downton
- Course structure: 4 coached sessions
- Attendance requirement: All four sessions must be attended to complete the course

Other local beginners’ courses
If you are keen to begin archery sooner, you may be able to find other beginners’ courses locally.
Provided the course has been delivered by a registered ArcheryGB coach or a recognised ArcheryGB‑affiliated club, you will be eligible to apply for membership at South Wilts Archery Club.
New applicants who have completed such a course will be asked to undertake a simple Shooting Line assessment. This confirms your skill, safety awareness, and range etiquette before joining regular club sessions.
Existing and returning archers

- Former archers looking to re‑start shooting
